Whether you are doing Taco Tuesday or a Taco bar for a party, or even whipping up a couple of tacos for late-night snacks, our Taco Spice mix has you covered.
We have taco night at least a couple of times a month, and this spice mix is a result of wanting to control the additives and salt levels. We are offering zero spice, gentle and HOT, as well as salt-free options in all 2 spice levels, so you can control that for yourself.
Perfect for ground beef, but also beans, steak, ground pork, ground chicken, ground turkey or ground meat alternatives.
Recipes using Taco Spice Mix
There are lots of fun ways to use our Taco Spice Blend to go way beyond tacos. Have you tried Cornbread Tamale Pie? Use it as a base for your Chili. We are working hard to get more of our recipes up on the site, but here are a couple for you already:

Making Tacos
Making Taco Meat
Brown your meat, add our taco seasoning and deglaze the pan with a little water, stock or even beer.
Want to get fancy? No problem, sautee a couple of onions, a jalapeno, and/or some red pepper slices before you brown the meat.
Looking for a non-meat taco?
This is great on any ground meat alternative, tofu and TVP. Even a meaty mushroom like a portabello makes for a wonderful taco meat alternative, and our spice blend works with them beautifully.
Booom!
Taco filling ready, where are the shells?
Taco Shells
Use hard corn shells, soft corn tortillas or flour tortillas. You can even just plunk it on bun for a Taco "Joe". We often use lettuce leaves instead of tortillas for a more taco meat in crystal folds kind of dish inspired by Mexican, Chinese and Korean dishes. Romaine and iceberg lettuce leaves work well for this.
Serving Tacos
Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream for Tex-Mex Taco style.
Top with finely diced onion and cilantro for Mexican Street Taco style.
Top with whatever you want for House Taco style.
Leftover Tacos?
If you make too much taco meat, (that never happens here), try portioning and freezing your taco meat for quick quesadillas or burritos.
Try Something Quick and Easy.
Mix things up and have Taco Burgers for Taco Tuesdays. Mix a little of our marinade blend straight in your ground beef, ground turkey or ground meat alternative! Serve it between soft tortillas with cheese, lettuce, sour cream and guac, or keep it simple with dice onion and cilantro on a bun. Yum!
Try Something New?
We love to hear, and see, how people are using our spices. If you do something new, please share it with us via Instagram, chat or email, so we can share it with others! (crediting you of course!)
